I enjoy working closely with every department, listening to different perspectives, and building a shared vision that strengthens the story and its emotional impact. My background in visual effects has taught me not to view physical limitations as creative barriers. For years, I have used digital tools to solve problems, build worlds, and bring to life ideas that once seemed impossible.

Gerardo’s passion for storytelling and filmmaking began when he was just seven years old, armed with his father’s Hi-8 camera and a collection of dinosaurs and Star Wars toys.

Growing up, he immersed himself in the world of programming and visual effects, gaining a deep understanding of the technical aspects that bring visual stories to life. This fusion of artistic vision and technical skill paved the way for his aesthetic exploration.

He has developed projects in film, music, documentaries, and advertising for brands and organizations such as NASA, Calvin Klein, Valentino, Puma, PepsiCo, and Qatar Museums. His work has been recognized by international institutions and festivals, including Cannes, the Berlinale, the Telly Awards, the Webby Awards, and the CLIO Awards.

In film, his directing credits include the documentary “The Expedition: Mars 2030,” in collaboration with NASA, and the short film “The Dreamer,” executive produced by Sofía Vergara. He has also worked as a VFX Supervisor on films such as “Hombre al Agua” starring Gael García Bernal and Blumhouse Entertainment’s “No Me Sigas”.
